In Conversation with Lachie Stuart, Building a Stronger Mindset

This month, we are exploring all things wellness, building our tool box and trying different techniques and tools to help us stay grounded and focused as the year continues to steam ahead.

And what better way to do this than calling in the experts! We reached out to personal trainer and performance coach, Lachie Stuart, to share with us how he keeps his motivation and drive high, how he hits his goals, and an insight into his very own online community, facilitated by The Man That Can Project - it’s impressive!

Hi Lachie, thanks for taking the time to chat to us! Can you please tell us a bit about The Man That Can Project (TMTCP)?

TMTCP is helping men pursue the best version of themselves by learning to live, love & laugh more. We know that taking responsibility, building confidence & resilience, and being surrounded by a community of like-minded blokes that it is possible. Our Strong Men of Value Academy facilitates that.

Your ethos is really based around community & creating an environment to thrive! Tell us, what are some quick steps someone can do to revitalise their space if they’re feeling uninspired?

  1. Change your environment up - Whether it’s moving the room around or completely change locations.
  2. Surround yourself around those that inspire you - If you’re isolated, podcasts can be a great way to get inspired.
  3. Have your goals somewhere that you can clearly see them.

There is a lot of noise and heaviness in the world right now… how can we stay grounded during the chaos?

  1. Take time away from social media & media. A lot of the heaviness we are worrying about doesn’t directly impact us.
  2. Take 10 minutes a day to be outside and get some sun.
  3. Journal. Write down your thoughts. You don’t need a fancy formula, just write.

We’re big believers in creating small, actionable habits that turn into routines & creates consistency. How do you start your day to ensure maximum productivity & fulfilment?

My day starts with 10 minutes of reading, 10 minutes writing my thoughts down & a nice coffee while I look over what my day entails. I get clear on what outcomes I am looking for and decide what needs to happen to make it a great day.

What’s a “wellness” hack or new habit you’re currently exploring / really loving at the moment?

Writing. I am spending more time writing than I ever had before. It’s helped me understand what’s going on in my head a lot more and helped me get clear on what’s important so I can say no to other things. I also love my ice baths - I do them so regularly I bought one for home.

What’s in the pipeline for The Man That Can Project & where can we find more information?

Our second intake for our Strong Men of Value Academy goes live March 27th, 2022. This is our main program that gives members access to our workshops and community.
